How to apply for the Prix Média

Send the application form and your contribution as a PDF file or with SwissTransfer to prixmedia@akademien-schweiz.ch by 15 May 2023 at the latest.

Terms and conditions

Journalists themselves or third parties may submit contributions. All contributions must have been published in Switzerland in one of the four national languages. Only one contribution may be submitted per request for submissions, and the designated formmust be used. The deadline for submitting the application must be observed. All media channels are admitted. Award winners must wait two years before submitting further work. All entries must comply with the Swiss Press Council’s code of conduct.

Prix Média Newcomer – how to apply

Describe your idea as a project sketch of maximum 2,000 characters or a video of maximum 2 minutes. In addition, send us a short CV or introduce yourself in a PDF or video.

Send your documents to prixmedia@akademien-schweiz.ch by 15 May 2023 at the latest. Videos can be submitted to the same address with SwissTransfer.

The contribution must be made in Switzerland in one of the four national languages. Only one contribution is allowed per call. Emphasis is placed on ensuring scientific accuracy. The entry is made according to the application procedure on this page. The deadlines for submitting the application and for submitting the completed contribution must be observed. The applicant is under 36 years of age. All media channels are permitted for contributions. A prizewinner can only stand for reapplication after two years. The journalist code of the Swiss Press Council must be complied with in the contribution.

Send the completed application form and two already published work samples to prixmedia@akademien-schweiz.ch by 15 May 2023 at the latest.

The planned contribution will be carried out in one of the four national languages. It should be aimed at the publication of the contribution in a Swiss medium. Only one application is allowed per call for proposals. Emphasis is placed on ensuring scientific accuracy. The application must be submitted using the form provided. The deadline for submission of the application must be observed. The applicant is over 35 years of age. All media channels are permitted for project ideas. The journalist code of the Swiss Press Council must be complied with in the contribution.
